Notes | Ainsworth does not mention "pigeon-handler's disease" but says that this was the first recognition of human pulmonary aspergillosis. Does that imply that Virchow, who was notoriously unsympathetic to the Germ Theory, accepted causation in this case? Was Ainsworth unaware of Sluyter's finding? See 1847. |
