NotesBacteria: cerebrospinal meningitis, cholera, diphtheria, gonorrhea, leprosy, tetanus, tuberculosis. Protozoa: amebiasis, malaria. In addition, various macroscopic endo- and ecto- parasites were known. But not also (?) "meat poisoning" -- see Durham 1898 and Durham 1900. Some infections of domestic animals were also known.
