Notes | S. Arloing. They also showed that the agent (now Clostridium feseri or C. chauvoei) differed from that of anthrax (and "charbon symptomatique" was thus not a form of charbon or anthrax). They showed that lesion material, if injected intravenously, did not cause disease but did induce immunity (leading to development of a bacterin, still the means of prevention in the 1990s). |
