Notes | Between July 12 and August 8, Toussaint switched from filtered-heated anthrax blood (see entry "a") to blood that had been exposed to carbolic acid. He said that the use of antiseptics for attenuation had been inspired by Davaine's work (though Tousaint's purpose was prophylaxis while Davaine was aiming at therapy). |
