Notes | Griffith Evans, veterinary officer in India, found the parasite in blood of horses with surra, and concluded that it was the cause of that fatal disease. Transmitted it to dog and horse. Evans did not demonstrate horse-fly vector, but noted native tradition to that effect (see 1899 Rogers). |
