Notes | Ordered by Lister and made to his yet unpublished (?) mathematical principles. It had a substage condenser and mechanical stage. Unlike its contemporaries, it was made for use only as a compound scope, instead of being adaptable for use of lenses as simple scope when high magnification was needed (the problem with simple scopes then being eye strain and very small aperture). |
